The restoration work was necessary due to the presence of damage caused to the structure, the wooden false ceiling, by ancient water infiltrations.
The false ceiling is made up of five rows, each with twenty octagonal and cross-shaped coffers arranged alternately and in the center a large frame containing the painting on canvas depicting “L’Ultima Cena”.
